I have worked in collaboration with Devin for the last several years, many of which have been the most fruitful of my professional career. When I arrived at Monte Vista Christian School, Devin took the time to mentor, encourage and challenge me in all areas of my classroom work. I have found few others that have the skills, drive for excellence and care as much Devin does. His ability to tell a story, draw-in his audience and communicate effectively is unmatched.

 

When Devin approaches content, it is from a point of passion and urgency. He has a love for what he does and his desire to share that love with his students and colleagues is evident. His drive for excellence comes through in all areas, whether it is in his curriculum development, or encouragement of students.

 

Most of all, the quality that makes Devin right for his position and as educator is his care for others. He is constantly pursuing opportunities to genuinely know and love his students, to meet them where they are at and courage them. I have seen few others go out of their way as much as Devin does to show appreciation for all the hard work his colleagues do. He is consistently seeks ways to get his students involved and positively impacting their communities.

Devin has helped sharpen and shape every aspect of my teaching career, and I cannot be more thankful for his mentorship and friendship.
